Hi!

My name is Rushi Panchal. I've primarily been writing/producing/releasing music under the band name The Folks Around Town.

When i'm not working on tunes, I'm building an app called Silver Audio (kind of like soundcloud but for people in the middle of the creation process, not a streaming service).

I can't wait to learn from the group here and hopefully I have something to contribute as well. I'm at the mastering stage of third album and I'm excited to use this forum to make it better!

I grew up in the era of the first pop punk wave so bands like Blink 182 inspired me to pick up an instrument and start writing songs. As i've gotten older, i've been exploring more indie "sad dad" groups like The National, Bright Eyes, and Death Cab for Cutie. I'm Indian and recently gotten the itch to start exploring Indian classic music partly kicked off by my desire to buy and learn how to play a Sitar!
