Wow! Lots going on here - this must have been a difficult song to mix, but to my ears you do a good job of keeping things balanced.

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to listen to my track. Indeed this was quite a challenge to mix, but then again, this is the kind of music I like to make the most, and mixing it is part of my pleasure.

I'd wonder if there's possibly a bit too much reverb in general for my taste - but I read above you're going for an 80s aesthetic here in line with when the song was originally written so this probably does make sense in the context of that..

I listened to your track (I'll post a reply there as well), so I get where you are coming from ... but it is a genre thing indeed (and I love lush reverbs).

Love the effects on the vocals. Arrangement wise there's plenty enough to keep me interested as a listener throughout the song.

Thanks a lot. I've always been a big fan of using vocoder vocals as backing and for harmonies. ELO used to do that big time back in the day, and it even inspired me to build my own vocoder back then. These days we have such great (software) technology available to us, which makes it even more fun to play with.
